Year 4 had an amazing residential at Emmaus Youth Village in Consett! ๐ŸŒŸ
A fun-filled trip with activities inspired by St Peter โ€“ from films and crafts to drama, dance, and even learning the Lordโ€™s Prayer with music and sign language ๐Ÿ™Œ
The children had the best time! Hereโ€™s what they said:
๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œThe food was amazing, the beds were cosy, and the disco was lots of fun!โ€ โ€“ Emmaโ€จ๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œI loved the reflection area, the films about Peter, and the discoโ€ฆ we even did the conga!โ€ โ€“ Eva
What a special experience ๐Ÿ’™

Lots of fun at Star of the Sea nursery this week. What better way to spend such a glorious day than having a picnic on the grass. The children loved chatting and eating with their friends. Such a lovely opportunity to promote communication and language.
There are still some September spaces left in our nursery, if you are looking for a nursery place for your child we would love to meet you, come and join the fun!

Year 6 recently took part in a workshop led by the organisation 'Show Racism the Red Card'. The session helped us to understand what racism is, how it affects people and why it isimportant to challenge racist behaviour whenever we see it.

Year 4 absolutely loved being engineers this morning with the North East Raising Aspirations Partnership. We designed and raced our own Lego vehicles. Well done Year 4!

What an amazing response we had to our book cover competition - from nursery all the way to year 6! A huge well done to our 5 winners who each won a ยฃ5 book token for the book fair! ๐Ÿ…
Donโ€™t forget our book fair is running tonight and tomorrow from 3:30-4:00pm in the school hall. Itโ€™s a brilliant chance to stock up on some new reads and support a love of reading at home. We hope to see lots of you there! ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿ’›
