Today we have had the marvellous Mrs Merlin, with her fantastic face painting we have had an array of different characters and brilliant faces!!

It's a hole in one ⛳🏌️

We had a great time learning to play some golf.🏌️
We used the golf clubs to hit the balls onto each numbered flag then added some crazy into it but putting the ball over the bridge and round the benches too. 🏌️⛳

We also played in the garden too 😃

Today we have had the lovely Nature Makers - North of Tyne come to visit to make some fantastic rain makers we listened to Catherine's rain maker first before making our own, decorating them and adding some lentils to them to make it rain. We sang some rain songs and then the clouds decided to rain on us 🌧️☔

Today the Bumblebee Group had lots of fun on the bouncy castle! 🐝🏰

The children enjoyed being active, developing their balance and coordination, and having plenty of fun bouncing and sliding together.👫

A lovely end of the week in holiday club...

We have had the marvellous Mr Merlin and his magic show, lots of fun and laughs with Peewee the rabbit and Lovey duck, of course we were amazed at all of Mr Merlin's magic tricks!!

Today we have cooled down with an epic water day, I don't know who had more fun the children or a certain staff member who was the wettest of everyone. Think there might have been a plan of attack between the children!!! A great way to end the week!

Water Play in the Bumblebee Room 🐝

Today, the Bumblebee children enjoyed water play using scoops, bowls and sponges. They explored how the water moved as they scooped, poured and squeezed, watching it drip from the sponges and create different patterns on the walls and ground. Through their play, the children explored cause and effect while developing their coordination. 💦🐝

Today, the Bumblebee children had a brilliant time at nursery enjoying the colourful bouncy castle! They bounced, climbed and giggled their way through the day before taking turns zooming down the bouncy castle slide. What a fun-filled day of bouncing adventures! 🐝🌈🎈

Zone4Kids at Whitley Lodge are looking for a full time Nursery Practitioner or Senior to join their team. We are a wonderful homely nursery offering a wealth of outdoor learning and opportunities too.

You must have sound knowledge of the EYFS and hold your Level 3 or equivalent in Early Years.

You must be forward thinking, passionate about babies and children and bursting with wonderful ideas.

You must have a firm understanding of EYFS and have knowledge in planning and implementing activities relevant to the age/stage of development of the children in our care.

You will be expected to observe and record what the children do and plan the next steps for the children’s play, learning and development with regard to EYFS.

Job offers are subject to an enhanced DBS check & 2 satisfactory references.

🍕 Making Pizza Muffins! 🍕
Today, the Bumblebee children had great fun making their own delicious pizza muffins! They started with a savoury muffin base before adding tomato purée, cheese, ham, and pineapple to create their very own mini pizzas.

The children enjoyed choosing and putting all the toppings together, developing their independence and fine motor skills along the way. Best of all, everyone got to enjoy their tasty creations together at snack time! 😋🧀🍍

Today, our Bumblebee children had a fantastic time making their very own traffic light biscuits as part of our Travel Theme Week!

The children made the biscuit dough from scratch using butter, flour, and sugar, carefully mixing the ingredients together before rolling out the dough and cutting it into traffic light shapes.

Once the biscuits had been baked and cooled, everyone enjoyed decorating them with icing and colourful Smarties to create the red, amber, and green traffic lights. 🌟
