The Butterfly and Preschool children have loved having their own picnic and creating their own sandwich for it!!
They couldn't believe their eyes when we caught our teddies having their own picnic when they thought we weren't looking! 🧸🧺🥪🥛

🐻Bumblebee Group Teddy Bears Picnic Day 🐻

Today the Bumblebee Group celebrated Teddy Bear Picnic Day!

The children made their own sandwiches, choosing from cream cheese, jam, or ham. They spread their chosen fillings themselves and decided what they would like in their sandwich.

This afternoon we took our picnic blanket into the garden and enjoyed our sandwiches alongside some picnic favourites including pear, apple, cucumber, and breadsticks. 🍎🍐🥒

We also listened to the Teddy Bear Picnic song while we ate together. 🐻🎶

Today our lovely caterpillar children have been celebrating international picnic day!🌥
We began by making our very own sandwiches, choosing which yummy fillings to use😋
Then we headed out to the garden for our picnic, enjoying the delicious sandwiches along with some healthy fruit snacks🍏🍐🍎

⚽⚽⚽ Too kick off the World Cup in style, our butterfly children made a football striker cup! ⚽⚽⚽

They decorated it with red to support England in their game tonight. We predicted the score, it was a big number, one child shouted "20 hundred" let's go with that! ⚽⚽⚽

So much laughter pinging the ball into the goal, with cheers from all as they scored ! Come on England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Huge congratulations to Katie and Zarrah on achieving your Level 3 qualification! This is a fantastic accomplishment and a reflection of all your hard work, dedication, and commitment. We have enjoyed watching our very hungry caterpillars grow into beautiful butterflies but now it is time to say goodbye 🐛🦋
We watched as our butterflies fluttered their wings off into the sky ☀️🦋

The Preschool children have sat and listened to "The undersea cleaning spree" story, which helped them understand the importance of keeping the oceans clean and protecting sea life. We discussed the types of rubbish that can end up in the sea "bottles" "empty packets" "sweets" , were the answers the children shouted out.
The children took part in a creative painting activity inspired by the story and practised sorting the rubbish into the correct bins.
We then made our own under the sea picture, rubbish free.
