Last week, Reception were very lucky to welcome a special visitor to their class - a vet! The children found out lots of new information about anaimals, how vets care for them and what a vet does in their job. Thank you Mr Ward!

Notice from the Governing Body

Mrs Brett is retiring as Headteacher of Holywell Village First School and will be leaving the school on 31st August 2026.

Together with the Governing Body I would like to express my sincere thanks to Mrs Brett for her dedication, commitment and achievements during her time at our school; especially the Ofsted report in 2025 where the school achieved Outstanding across all areas; a remarkable achievement from all school staff.

We are pleased to inform you that Mrs Endacott, currently Deputy Headteacher, will take on the role of Interim Headteacher from 1st September 2026. She has a very strong understanding of the school and will provide continuity and stability for our pupils and staff next academic year.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our EGG-cellent Easter competitions. Special thanks also to Rev. Atkinson for joining us for our assembly and having the very difficult job of judging all of the competition entries!
Congratulations to all of the winners who enjoyed chocolate egg prizes courtesy of John Flowers Ltd, who also provided each child in school which a chocolate Easter treat - thank you.
