Welcome to Little Acorns Childcare, a nursery based on Whitley Road in Whitley Bay. The business is run by Emma Smith and Louise Mullen, who are sisters with a wealth of knowledge in teaching and learning and working in early years. We are an arts based nursery that allows children to learn through play. No day is the same at Little Acorns! At Little Acorns we have embedded the Early Years Foundat

ion Stage throughout our activities and will ensure your child makes progress through playing and exploring, all of which is reported back to parents on a regular basis. Our team are our asset and all are nurturing, creative and amazing at inspiring the little ones. Our team makes us an incredible setting. We are also the first nursery in the North East to gain accreditation from the early years nutrition partnership. We work closely with a local nutritionist who has helped to design our menu, ensuring your little ones get the best start in life. We are very proud of our childcare setting, we have created a calm and relaxed atmosphere that centres around children’s mental health and well-being.

📚 Each bag contains stories to share, exploring what it's like to go to 'big' school. The bags are available to loan from Killingworth, North Shields, Wallsend and Whitley Bay Community Hubs and Libraries, and can be ordered from any of the other nine branch libraries.

Gorgeous trip to the beach this morning. The children were absolutely amazing and had the best listening ears. We caught the metro along to Cullercoats for a play on the sand then even stopped for an ice cream on the walk back! So much fun! 🍦☀️🌊
