Happy Birthday, the British Austrian-born writer Eva Ibbotson would have been 100 years old today. 🎂
To this day, Eva Ibbotson is loved and known for her work in children’s literature and novels for adults. Her books have been translated into 80 languages and continue to captivate children and adults alike, with huge markets in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany. It is undeniable that Eva Ibbotson’s Austrian heritage played a significant role in shaping her life and writing. Her fascinating life and the life of her Austrian playwright mother, Anna Gmeyner, make a fascinating read for anybody interested in exile literature.
