We are launching a brand-new Specialist Support Base (SSB) operating across Whytrig Middle School and Seaton Valley High School, and we need a visionary educator to help us shape its future.

This isn't just a teaching job; it’s a chance to pioneer a vital new resource. The SSB will cater to a very small number of Key Stage 3 (KS3) students identified by Northumberland County Council. These are young people who require a specific, dedicated teaching resource to thrive, without meeting the threshold for a traditional 'special school'.

Your role will be to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and social communication needs.

Students will be taught predominantly within a dedicated, tailored SSB area, bridging the gap between specialist care and an inclusive mainstream school environment.

You will join a small, incredibly committed team that prides itself on inclusion, collaboration, and mutual support.
