We have Japanese Wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius) plants for sale. A relative of our Blackberry, this unfussy plant will grow just about anywhere, requiring only a little trim now and then to keep it tidy. The lime green leaves, which are white underneath, look great against the arching red stems. In late summer you’ll be treated to a nice big crop of very moreish berries, which have an oddly satisfying mildly ‘sticky’ feeling, not unlike jelly sweets.
They are big healthy plants in 5 litre pots. £20 each, collect from Glandwr in Pembrokeshire.

Our sheep have been complaining loudly about the dry grass so this morning we cut some fresh willow for them and delivered it to their fields.

Some of our Chillean Guava berries (Ugni molinae) were used as part of the Freshwater Farm feast on Saturday night. Served frozen with Angle honey nougat coated in 100% Caranero chocolate.

Walnuts! Exciting to see the first fruit set on the trees we planted here 5 years ago. Looking forward to seeing if they fully ripen, or if we will have to wait another year.
