Our visit to the farm yesterday, provided the children a wonderful opportunity to learn through hands-on experiences. The children enjoyed seeing and talking about different farm animals, learning the sounds they make, and developing an understanding of how animals are cared for. They explored their surroundings, noticed different colours, textures and smells, and practised using new words to describe what they could see. The visit encouraged curiosity, communication and social skills, while helping the children develop a greater understanding of animals, nature and the world around them. We all had so much fun 🐷🐐🐴🐖

🌱 Preschool Community Action Day! 🌱

During our recent local community walks, our observant preschool children noticed litter on the streets and expressed a keen interest in taking care of our neighborhood. Turning this curiosity into action, we grabbed our litter pickers and set off on a cleanup mission!

Our young eco-warriors worked tirelessly, collecting as much rubbish as they could. Along the way, we had wonderful group discussions about the types of items we found, the importance of recycling, and the positive impact we can make when we look after our environment.

We were incredibly proud of their dedication, enthusiasm, and teamwork—in fact, they enjoyed it so much they didn't want to stop! Well done to our fantastic preschool team for being such responsible community citizens. 🚯✨

✨ Friday Fun ✨

Last Friday, our pre-school children had a wonderful time enjoying a special pamper day at Little Stars Salon 💅✨

The children had their faces painted, panted each others nails, and had their hair styled. We saw lots of magical unicorns, brave firefighters, cheeky monsters, and plenty of smiling faces! 🦄🚒👾

It was a lovely afternoon filled with creativity, imagination, laughter and friendship.

What a fantastic way at to finish the week! 💛

☀️🚜 Pre-school Leavers Trip to Smithills Farm 🚜☀️

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the term! Our pre-school children had a fantastic day at Smithills Farm, making special memories together before they begin their next adventure at school.

The children enjoyed a tractor ride to feed the donkeys, learned all about emus, goats, chicks and alpacas in the pets’ corner, and finished the day with a lovely picnic alongside their friends.

It was a day filled with laughter, learning and lots of smiles 💜💙

Physical Development & Outdoor Play

Water Exploration: The children participated in outdoor water play and enjoyed using the water slide to stay cool during the warm weather.

Fine Motor Skills: On the playdough table, the children refined their hand strength by shaping and creating "currant buns."

Mathematics & Expressive Arts

Patterning & Design: The children applied their threading and pattern-making skills to design and create custom friendship bracelets.

Creative Science: We explored ice painting inside the tuff tray, providing a tactile sensory experience.

Understanding the World

Culinary Skills: Promoting independence, the children safely chopped their own fruit to create healthy, homemade ice pops to enjoy once frozen.

Scientific Inquiry: During the ice activities, the children observed and discussed the chemical effects of adding salt to ice.

Expressive Arts & Design

Imaginative Role-Play: The home corner transformed into a veterinary clinic, where the children engaged in collaborative role-play as vets and animals, building empathy and social communication.
