🎉🏆 Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 🏆🎉

Testbourne Community School is pleased to congratulate the Class of 2026 on their excellent GCSE and vocational award results. 🎓✨

Three quarters of students achieved a ‘standard’ pass of grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths. 📚✅ The number of students achieving a ‘strong’ pass of grade 5 or higher in English and Maths increased compared to 2025, as did the overall number of grade 9s awarded, with 78 grade 9s issued to our students across all subjects. 🌟

Many of our subjects secured excellent pass rates of 75% or higher this year, including Art, Art Photography, Biology, Chemistry, Design & Technology, English Language, English Literature, Geography, History, Maths, Music, PE and Physics. 🎨🔬📖🌍🎵⚽

We are proud that so many of our students have shown independence, resilience and responsibility throughout their time at Testbourne, and this has been reflected in the progress they have made. 💙 There were many happy students and their families celebrating their results with us today. 🎉👏 They are looking forward to progressing onto the next chapter of their education this September. 🚀

Mr Beck, our Headteacher here at TCS, said:

☀️🌻 Making the Most of Summer! 🌻☀️

We hope our students and families are enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the summer break. Whether you're travelling, spending time with friends and family, or simply relaxing at home, we hope you're finding time to recharge before the new school year begins. 😎🌞

While school may be quiet for now, there's plenty to look forward to when we return! 🎉

🏫 TCS Open Evening will take place on 1st October, giving prospective families the chance to experience life at Testbourne.

🎭 Rehearsals are already underway for our exciting school production of Legally Blonde Jr., which promises to be a fantastic showcase of talent, energy and creativity.

📚 Alongside these headline events, the autumn term will be packed with opportunities, activities and experiences for all year groups.

For now, enjoy the sunshine, stay safe, and make the most of the remaining weeks of summer. We can't wait to welcome everyone back soon! 💙

🚀 Year 7 Rocket Launch Challenge! 🚀

Over the last few days, our Year 7 students have been hard at work designing and refining the perfect air rocket. 🛠️🌟

Yesterday afternoon, they took to the field to test their creations—and the results were amazing! Many of the rockets flew much further than anyone expected, showcasing the students' creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills. 💨👏

A true testament to their determination and hard work throughout the project. Well done, Year 7! 🌟🚀

🍰🌟 Headteacher’s Tea Celebration 🌟🍰

Every half term, Mr Beck invites Head of Years to nominate students who have most strongly embodied the Testbourne Values through their actions, attitude and commitment to our school community. 💙

These students are then invited to attend the special Headteacher’s Tea during the final week of term, where they enjoy cake and refreshments with Mr Beck. ☕🧁

Each student also receives a personal letter containing a citation from their Head of Year, recognising their achievements and explaining why they have been selected for this special recognition. ✉️👏

The event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate those students who consistently demonstrate our values and make a positive contribution to life at Testbourne through their kindness, respect, ambition and resilience. ⭐

Congratulations to all of the students who were nominated this half term – a very well-deserved achievement. We are incredibly proud of you all! 🎉🙌

🏅☀️ Sports Day at TCS! ☀️🏅

What a fantastic day of sport, teamwork and house spirit at TCS! 🎉💪

Despite the warm weather, students have shown great enthusiasm and energy throughout the day, with plenty of water available to help everyone stay hydrated. 💧😎

This morning saw students competing across a range of events, including:

⚾ Rounders
🏹 Javelin
🏃 High Jump
💪 Shot Put

There have been some impressive performances, excellent teamwork and lots of encouragement from students and staff alike. 👏🌟

This afternoon, the excitement continues with the track events, including running races and relays, where students will have the opportunity to earn valuable points for their houses. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

Good luck to everyone competing this afternoon, and thank you to our staff, student helpers and supporters for making the day such a success. 🙌💙

We're looking forward to welcoming students for our Sports & Wellbeing Day on Monday! 🎉

With warm weather forecast, we would like to remind all students to come prepared for a fun and active day by bringing:

💧 Plenty of water to stay hydrated throughout the day
🧢 A hat or cap for sun protection
☀️ Sunscreen applied before arriving at school
👟 Appropriate sports clothing and footwear

The day will be packed with activities designed to promote physical health, wellbeing, teamwork and enjoyment. 🌟
