We thought we’d let you see some of new and improved areas within Panda room. Staff have been working hard alongside the Pandas to enhance the room. Our small world area has had a revamp, we’ve created a new sensory area and we’ve been lucky to have a new tuff tray with lots of storage to create a lovely loose parts area

Joys Wow Activity... 🦖🦴🍃

The children showed great interest in a basket of dinosaurs, so Joy set up a sensory tuff tray focused on this theme. Activities included exploring different textures, filling pots, counting dinosaurs, and enjoying a story about dinosaurs at the dentist.

The Koalas thoroughly enjoyed exploring Charlee’s WOW activity recently. Charlee organised an incredible sensory experience featuring a variety of textures, including Weetabix, dry and powdery dairy-free chocolate, as well as sticky and gooey substances! The children enthusiastically plunged in with both hands. They were encouraged to use descriptive words, such as sticky, slimy, and wet, to articulate their feelings about the different textures.

The dinosaurs also joined in on the fun, and the Koalas quickly noticed the footprints being left behind!

We love getting messy in the Koala room (so much so that we had to wash the Koala clothes afterwards because they got quite mucky! 😂), but that's all part of the enjoyment!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Specsavers

Recently, a staff member brought in a few old pairs of glasses for the Koala Bears. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing with them. The staff then reached out to our local Specsavers branch to inquire about any old frames they might have available. The wonderful team at Specsavers generously donated several children's frames, along with stickers, sweets, and stationery. Thank you, Specsavers, for bringing smiles to these faces.

🧀Cheese-tastic WOW Day! 🧀

Today’s WOW activity, planned by Meg, was inspired by the children’s interest in cheese! We learned how cheese is made, discovered new words like pasteurisation, curds and whey, and watched a video showing the process.

The highlight was our cheese tasting session, where we tried Double Gloucester, Edam, Beechwood Smoked, and two varieties of Wensleydale. Double Gloucester was the clear favourite, while the Wensleydale with apricots had us pulling some funny faces! 😂

We also chatted about our favourite cheesy meals, enjoyed cheese-themed colouring, and even designed our own cheeses, including chocolate cheese! What a cheese-tastic morning our Pandas have had! 🐼

❤️⭐️ Pop up Play Village Visit⭐️❤️

Our Pandas have been lucky enough to have Pop up Play Village visit us on Monday. We’ve had a cafe, supermarket, dinosaurs, library, superheroes and an art centre. We’ve had a wonderful morning role playing and using our imagination. Lots of cups and tea and cakes have been eaten and drank.

What a wonderful way to start off our last week of term. 🐼❤️

Sarah’s turn for a WOW activity today and she has created this amazing Jack and the Beanstalk tuff tray for the Panda Bears to explore and play.

We have been growing our own beans 🫘 in panda garden so what a lovely way to follow on our learning.

Our pandas will be patiently waiting to see if we end up with our own beanstalk in the garden to climb 😂

Sports Day ⚽️🏅🏆

We are 2 days into our sports week in panda room and we are loving the different races each day. So far we have done egg and spoon, running races, bean bag balancing and an obstacle course.

All pandas have participated and cheered one another on, showing great sportsmanship. We are so proud of all of our sporting pandas. We have more sports days to follow during the week. 🏆🏅⚽️
