Rising Fives Pre-School Group, Whitchurch Rising Fives Pre-School Group In accordance with Government principles, we follow closely the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At Rising Fives Pre-school children spend their sessions learning though play, investigating, exploring, making new friends and having fun. Our caring, skilled and very experienced staff observe children’s play and support their next steps, ensuring every child reaches their full potential. We recognise each child is an individual and take regular observations of their progress and achievements. T

hese are captured on our online learning journal which parents have full access to and are able to, and encouraged to, share their children’s successes at home. Together this helps to create a wonderful picture of each child’s learning. Children choose to play either in our well-resourced Playrooms or in our carefully designed Outside Area. We make full use of local woodland area, the parks, the local shops and businesses for our ‘Little Explorers’ to be out and about. We have found these visits and outings to be invaluable in enriching the children’s knowledge and understanding of the local world in which they live. Set up in 1972, Rising Fives Pre-school Group is a registered charity. The Pre-school is a non profit organisation and all funding is used to further our priorities: the safety, happiness, well-being and development of your child. We are Ofsted inspected and were last inspected in April 2017. We are very proud to say that at this inspection we were rated as being 'outstanding.'

Here are some update photos of our new Rising Fives Preschool classroom at the Whitchurch Primary School site!

We’re so excited to be opening our doors in September 2026 and beginning a brand-new chapter for Rising Fives.

A huge thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers and staff who have worked so hard to make this move a reality. Moving a preschool after 50 years of provision in one location was certainly no small task! But, as they say, many hands make light work, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who helped along the way. 🥰

We currently have spaces available for children aged 2 and up. If you’re looking for a caring, nurturing setting offering high-quality early years provision, please get in touch.

🎉 Big News from Rising Fives! 🎉

Hi everyone! We have some exciting news to share… We are moving! 🥳🏡

Some of you may already know, but this summer we’re relocating to our new home at Whitchurch Primary School while our next exciting chapter is in the works. We can’t wait to welcome everyone there!

As with any move, we could do with a little help if anyone is looking to donate the following:

- Cardboard moving boxes

- A camping sink appropriate for low level use by children

- privacy screens or display boards for our nappy change area

If you can donate any of the above, please send us a direct message – we’d be so grateful and we can collect these items directly.

We’re also looking for some helping hands on these dates:

- 8th August – Packing up our current site (from 9:00am)

- 10th August – If you’ve got strong muscles and a few hours to spare in the morning, we’d love some help loading and unloading the vans at the current site and the primary school!
