Today marks the end of another academic year at Maggie Mays… and it’s hard to believe we’re also approaching one year since we lost Ben. ❤️
If I’m honest, there have been days when I wasn’t sure how I’d get through it. But today, I can say that I did.
This year has been filled with every emotion imaginable, yet every class, every rehearsal, every competition and every smiling face reminded me why Maggie Mays is so much more than a dance school.
To our incredible dance family—thank you. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, your understanding, your encouragement and for standing by me and my family when we needed it most. You have carried us through the hardest year of our lives, and I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am.
Ben was always the biggest supporter of Maggie Mays and of every child who walked through our doors.
As we begin a new chapter, I’m proud to announce that each year we will present the Ben Wylie Cup to a Maggie Mays dancer who truly embodies the same qualities as Ben - support, encouragement, kindness, respect and team spirit.
His legacy will live on, not only in our hearts, but in the way we continue to look after one another.
Here’s to the end of one chapter, the beginning of another, and to carrying Ben’s spirit with us every step of the way. 💜✨
Huge Thank you to Jessica McAuley for the lovely Ben Wylie cup which is currently sitting on our trophy shelf waiting for its first owner.
