Year 4 had a fantastic day out at Murton Park on Monday . The children travelled back thousands of years to discover what life was like in The Stone Age. We got straight into costume and explored pre historic artefacts followed by completing all of our pre historic chores. These included making pottery, grinding grain to make flour and weaving. We then had a go at hunting wild bore and deer ( the cardboard version) with spears ! A great day had by all.

Great turnout at our Year 1 Parents' Information Session today. It was fantastic to see so many families there and to share how we can work together to support your children throughout the year.

Thank you to everyone who attended. We're looking forward to welcoming our Year 3 families to their session tomorrow and continuing these important conversations.

We were delighted to welcome our local MP, Alison Hume, to East Whitby Primary Academy today.

Alison spent time with us learning about our SEND provision and seeing first-hand how we work to ensure that every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
We were proud to share our inclusive approach, including the specialist support we provide, our commitment to belonging, and the dedication of our staff in meeting the diverse needs of our pupils. Alison took the time to speak with staff and pupils, and we appreciated her genuine interest in the experiences of children and families within our community.

Thank you, Alison, for visiting East Whitby and for taking the time to learn more about the work we do every day to ensure all children receive the support, opportunities and encouragement they deserve.
