Our recent Ofsted inspection recognised the special culture that makes East Whitby such a wonderful place to learn, describing us as “an inclusive and caring school” where “deeply respectful and positive relationships exist between teachers and pupils.” Inspectors also found that pupils “feel safe, well cared for and respected” and benefit from “consistently high expectations” in both behaviour and learning.

Our pupils consistently perform well, with outcomes in phonics, the Multiplication Tables Check and Key Stage 2 SATs exceeding national averages. We are particularly proud that the proportion of pupils achieving Greater Depth at Key Stage 2 is significantly above national figures.
