This week in Forest School, it was all about fire-lighting. The children had a go at making their own, and learned it takes a lot of practice, patience and perseverance to get it right!

🤩 Well done Emily and Milo! 🤩

A huge well done to Milo (snake) and Emily K (leopard) who have been to visit Miss Robson for an excellence award for this outstanding artwork.

The pictures are now on display in Miss Robson's office for visitors to see and we're looking forward to presenting them both with a certificate in Friday's assembly. 🤩

🌧 A few pictures from today's Forest School session. 🌧
The children made rain sounds and used natural surfaces to draw pictures of the animals they've been introduced to in their class book 'Rain' by Manya Stojic.

Our children had a lovely visit from Hugo, Rachel and Charlie 🐾 from Beck's Vets today. Thank you so much for teaching the Wise Owls and Super Squirrels about how to care for animals.

Today our vet Hugo and nurse Rachel, along with her dog Charlie, visited a local school to teach children how to approach and care for dogs, with the children practising first aid bandaging on our model dog. If you’d like our team to visit your school, please get in touch.

Last week's Forest School session was all about den building. The children built shelters for the animals in their class anthology, 'A Year in Percy's Park'
If you look carefully, you might be able to spot some of them!

Last week we had a visit from Mr Sythes, who is a paramedic. He brought lots of equipment that paramedics use to help people when they're injured or unwell, and the Wise Owls and Super Squirrels had a great time trying it out.

Miss Robson had a special visitor today! Emily came to show off her wonderful reading. With lots of practice and help at home from mummy, daddy and big sister Charlotte, she is already able to read fluently and was given the first excellence award of the year for reading Miss Robson the story of The Strong Wind.

We're all super proud! 🤩
