I'm sorry to be the bearer of more sad news to our alumni community. Mrs Hickley, one of the founder teachers of Priory School, passed away a few weeks ago.

Mrs Hickley may be remembered by many of you as your dance teacher, but for some of you she may also have been the first person to teach you your letters and numbers, as one of the Priory's earliest pre-prep form teachers.

If you have fond memories of Mrs Hickley that you would like to be passed to her family, please do let us know and we will pass them along.

I am very sad to announce that Mrs. Holder, who taught so many of us in so many subjects, passed away on Wednesday 9th September, having been diagnosed with cancer only last year.

As some of you may also know, this news follows only a few months on from the loss of her husband, Mr. Holder who passed away suddenly in late May.

I will update this post should there be any information regarding a memorial service or donation requests (I know for Mr Holder's funeral the family stated that donations were welcome for the benefit of 'The British Heart Foundation' & 'Diabetes UK').

Please feel free to add any memories or photos you wish to share of the two of them to this post and we will pass these on to their family.

I'm sad to report that Mr Carter, who would have taught many of us Maths, passed away last week after a short illness. When I know more details regarding a memorial service, I will pass those on. Jennifer.

A request from Priory School PR:

The school would like to update its staff and current students/parents on what the alumni are up to. It is part of a drive to show the students the full range of opportunities available to them after leaving. Other aspects of this drive have included talks from people in a range of professions held on Tuesday mornings. The school would therefore be grateful if any alumni who are willing to let their current occupation and their occupation/academic history after leaving Priory be disseminated via the Priory website would get in touch with Jennifer Bates via Facebook message and she will collate info and pass it on to the school.

Thanks,
Priory School Alumni admin
