Update on my cancer treatment
I'm doing okay, but I have decided I will not attempt to teach before at least the end of the year.
I anticipate getting back to full health and fitness of course (and so far so good!) and I'll update with plans when I can
Thank you for your support and good wishes - they mean a lot xx
Learn Belly Dance in East Lancashire
Fun dance classes for women at Old Grammar School Whalley on Tuesday evenings
Hi all, a quick update on classes:
I won't be able to teach for the next few months. My cancer was significantly more aggressive and had spread further than originally thought so, while that's all been removed, I will be having chemotherapy and radiotherapy so won't be able to make any commitments for at least six months.
Hi ladies of East Lancashire - a quick update on my classes.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December and had surgery on 3 January, followed by a further operation on 3 February. I have an appointment with my consultant on 5 March where, hopefully, he will tell me that all the nasty cancer cells have been cleared and I can go on with the next stage of treatment - radiotherapy and medication.
Although my surgical wounds are healing well, I'm not going to be well enough to teach dancing for a few more weeks so I will update the page with a start date for our monthly sessions when I can.
Hello ladies, a quick reminder that tomorrow (3 December) is our last class of the year and our last at the Old Grammar School so we'll be having a bit of a party!
If you haven't been for a while, why not come and have a shimmy and a wiggle before we break for Christmas?
From January we will be moving to a monthly class, on the last Saturday of each month, at Billington and Langho Community Centre. Each session will be suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers
Hello lovelies- my phone has died (new one on its way) so I won’t be able to take card payments tonight. So, if you need to pay for class this week, could you bring cash?
Thank you x
Our autumn routine!

If you have wondered what our classes are like, come and have a go and ask!
Ladies - big apologies but I've had a puncture on my way to class so I'll have to cancel tonight!
So sorry I was looking forward to our class as I haven't seen you for so long
Why not come to join us The Old Grammar School Community Centre, Whalley on Tuesdays at 7pm or come along to Whalley Day on Saturday and see what we do!
Whalley What's On
This is our new short routine for the next few weeks
The song is Fe el Sahel and it's by Mahmoud el Esseily. It's one of the hits of the summer in Egypt.
