Westfield Arts College Westfield Arts College is a 4-19 Dorset special school providing for 230 pupils

Westfield Arts College is a 4-19, Dorset special school serving the needs of 210 children and young people with moderate and complex learning difficulties. Half of our pupils have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in addition to their learning need. Pupils come to us from all over Dorset, travelling to school each day in transport provided by the local authority. Westfield pupils are

taught the full National Curriculum, adapted and delivered at a pace that suits their rate of learning. In addition, a very strong emphasis is placed on the wider curriculum, practical learning and independent living skills.

Next week we celebrate 50 years of Westfield. We officially opened on 26th March 1976. As part of our celebrations we are going back to the 70s next week, with 70s themed curriculum, activities and school dinner.
We will be having a party in May and inviting families, past pupils and staff. More details coming shortly...

Bowling, food, plenty of laughs and a few very questionable bowling techniques! Great to spend some proper time together before I move on. Proud of this lot and the memories we’ve made. 😊
