Well …. Smarties closed its doors for the final time today 🥹 but we made it a final day to remember 💦💦💦💦
Balloons …. Dancing …. Music…. Singing …. And a thoroughly wet water play !!!! 😀😀 …. Can we take this opportunity to say a very large Thankyou for all our gifts, cards and well wishes…. We really do appreciate every one 🎁 …. ☺️ …. For the support we have had over the years ….. we thank you all 🙂 …. We hope you all have a lovely summer and settle into your new schools/settings in September …. We will be thinking of you all …. It’s been a pleasure …. Angela ….. you should be so very proud 😍 ….. xx

Thursday! ….. Teddy Bear Picnic plus baking 😃 …. We made pizza muffins and ate them at snack time …. Our picnic was a hit with everyone getting their soft toys involved! 🧸 we made iced buns this afternoon …. And we are nearly at the end of our fun filled week 🥹 ….. Please remember tomorrow is a water play day 💦 💦 No swim suits please! … just light clothing that can get wet and pack a spare !! (plus a small hand towel) see you tomorrow 😀

Wednesday leavers party 🥹 always a tear jerker but this year especially being our last one! 🥹 we had so much fun! One to remember 😁…
Don’t forget your Teddy or a soft toy tomorrow for our picnic …. We will be baking and creating in the kitchen too !!!! 🙂

Well …. we said MESSY TUESDAY !!!! And we didn’t disappoint 😂 …. What a lot of fun we’ve had with our remaining messy resources …. 😃 …. Don’t forget it’s School Leavers Party Tomorrow!! 12-2.30 Normal session until 12 (no lunch club for those not going to school) Please can Parents/Carers return at 2 pm for a presentation! 🙂

So Fancy Dress theme for our final Monday was great fun! It’s been hot but we are very lucky that our Hall remained at a good temperature! We haven’t been outside today either. Children were changed into cooler clothing after a little while to prevent overheating. Face painting was lots of fun followed but a cool ice lolly 🙂 bring on messy play Tuesday!!!!! Don’t forget …. Cool light clothing (and spare clothes please !) 😃

As you will be aware there has been a warning of extremely high temperatures for the next few days.
We will do all we can to ensure children and staff remain safe during this heatwave. It is dress up Monday!!! However ….. we ask that you ensure that children are dressed in light coloured loose clothing (no all in one costumes or layers!) Please apply sun cream generously before arrival, and provide refillable water bottles. (A second drink if your child will not drink water!) We will not be going outdoors if the temperature is extreme. We will use our space to provide activities that will limit too much physical exertion. Emergency contacts MUST be available!
We will remain open but support parents decisions to decide if it is better to be at home.
We have no idea what to expect but Lets hope Weymouth remains a little cooler than expected. 😌☀️

We have continued the learning and fun despite having to announce our closure which is only 2 weeks away 🥹 …. Here are a few of the activities we’ve enjoyed so far 😃 … Please refer to a previous post regarding our sale this coming Friday and Saturday …. We intend to make sure that our final themed week is a week to remember 🥳 … you should have all had the information but we will pop a reminder on here at the end of this week 🤩 Thanks to all who came to support our very last sports day 😔 …. And the medals finally arrived !!! 👍 🏅

We will be having a end of term sale for the items we will no longer need the week before we actually close.

Just a little bit of what we’ve done in the last few weeks ! We’ve climbed, balanced, made clay pots, used our mark making skills, talked about ourselves and our families, and ended of course with crown making and high tea for the jubilee celebrations 🙂 enjoy the half term break …. We return on Monday 6th June 😃
