This Friday I have the great pleasure of coaching the International canoes at Oxford. What a fantastic boat and enthusiastic group of sailors, I really enjoyed it last time and look forward to more challenges this weekend. Be safe and see you there.

A big thank you to all who attended the lecture and training day at Bristol Corinthian sc on Friday and Saturday. What a glorious day to go sailing.

Well a big thank you to Medway Yacht club for a fabulous weekend of Dragon racing and running the East coast Championships. Beautiful weather, if a little light on the breeze front but that's ok when the sun is shinning.
Once again a great weekend with Tom and Ollie and some fantastic racing had by all. Big highlights of the weekend were the highs and lows of the Gandalf boys, fantastic win boys but the wading left much to be desired, and me locking my keys in the boot of my mgf. Don't do it!! Help was at hand from lads at the club and Richard the RAC man who were all brilliant, thank you.
This weekend I have my coaching head back on. Looking forward to working with all the good people at Bristol Corinthian again, following up after a successful early summer session.

Now that was a brilliant weekend floating at Cowes in the mighty Badger with Tom And Ollie. This weekend we are off to the east coast to play on the Medway and it looks like another light one.

Sadly, gone are the days when 40 plus boats would cross the start line for the South Coasts; but what we lacked in quantity we made up for in quality.

Barney is back and he is for hire. After re-tubing and a tidy up my rib is now ready for hire, he is a 5.8 meter eagle osprey which has a solid bow to keep you dry, so plenty of room for coaching or observing if you are coming to an event in Weymouth. Message or email me for more details.

Once all the screws are back in undo the ropes and with a very sharp knife carefully trim off the excess slot strip. Now enjoy the nice thwang as you flick your new shinny slot strips.

Pick a side, any side, and screw down the keel band making sure the overlap is constant along the slot strip.

Tension the second strip, once again as hard as you dare. Now we have two tensioned strips which can be adjusted regarding overlap. Now put the back plate in and all the screws in the front plate

Put the other slot strip under the front plate and screw it down with the 3mm overlap
