Weymouth Drama Club Curtainraisers Providing drama for children aged 7+. Promoting confidence and fun with drama. We currently run six groups teaching all aspects of the theatre.

Applause:

This group is for 7-11 year olds (KS2) and runs on Monday evenings from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. Bravo:

This group is for 12-16 year olds (KS3) and meets on Tuesdays from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Cheers:

Our group for young people aged 14+ with learning disabilities, which meets every Wednesday from 6.00pm to 7.00pm. Encore:

This group is for 12-16 year olds (KS3) and meets on Thursday

s from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Backstagers:

A new group for junior members to learn more about backstage skills and a chance to put them into practice on Club productions. Young people may join just to do this activity at a reduced cost. This group meets from 10.00am to 12 noon on the third Saturday in the month. BTG:

Once a young person has finished Year 11, they may chose to stay as a student helper and/or join the adult Drama Club or join BTG (Bridge the Gap). BTG is a group of young people who are interested in exploring contemporary theatre. They have appeared at Camp Bestival and have created their own site specific pieces of Treasure Island and Robin Hood.
