The English Department is excited to announce that English Scholars is launching on Friday 11th September. These sessions will run every Friday from 3:10-3:40pm and are aimed at any Year 11 student hoping to secure a Grade 6 or above in English. Come join Ms England in F30 each week if this sounds like you!

Congratulations to our Year 11 students!

We’re incredibly proud of our Budmouth Academy Year 11 students as they celebrate their GCSE and vocational results. Their hard work, commitment and resilience have led to some outstanding achievements, with students now progressing to Sixth Form, college, apprenticeships, training and employment.

Exceptional individual achievements include:
• Isabel B– five grade 9s, including Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and French.
• Shannon C– grade 9s in English Language and GCSE PE, alongside seven grade 8s.
• Jack H– five grade 9s, including Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and French.

There has also been fantastic success across our vocational courses, including Distinction* grades in Health & Social Care and Engineering.

Congratulations to every member of our Year 11 cohort – we wish you every success for the future!

Welcome Back!

As we look forward to welcoming students back for the start of the new academic year, we have a few key dates and reminders to share.

Year 7 students: Thursday 3rd September
Year 8–11 students: Friday 4th September
(start of the school day: 08:30)

We’re also asking all students and families to ensure they are familiar with our uniform and equipment expectations, as outlined in the image provided.

🥈 What a Final! 🏊‍♀️🔥

Molly delivered an incredible performance in the 13/14 Girls 100m Breaststroke Final, producing a new personal best to claim a fantastic Silver medal at the Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships.

This is one of the toughest environments in British age-group swimming. Racing against the very best in the country brings added pressure, expectation, and intensity—but Molly handled it with remarkable composure and confidence.

To step onto the national stage, perform under pressure, and then produce your fastest swim ever is a testament to all the hard work, dedication, and commitment you've shown throughout the season.
