What a great last day! ☀️
Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic final day, signing shirts and yearbooks and making lots of special memories. There were a few tears during the end-of-year assembly – and that was just the staff! ❤️
We hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday and that this glorious weather continues.
We look forward to seeing you back in September, refreshed, recharged, and ready for another exciting year ahead.

☀️🏅 Sports Day 2026 🏅☀️
What a fantastic Sports Day we had! A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and family members who came along to support and cheer on our children throughout the day.
We are so proud of all the children for participating with such enthusiasm, determination and excellent sportsmanship. Despite the hot weather, everyone showed great resilience and gave their best in every event.
A special thank you to our Year 6 team captains, who were brilliant role models and leaders, encouraging their teams and helping the day run smoothly.
Finally, a huge well done to our staff team for all their hard work in organising such a successful event.
It was wonderful to see our school community come together for a day full of teamwork, encouragement and fun.

A massive thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave up their afternoon to speak with our Year 6 pupils about their careers, education, and training journeys.
The pupils did a fantastic job asking thoughtful and engaging questions, showing great curiosity about the different career paths available to them. Our volunteers were equally amazing, sharing their experiences and insights into their chosen professions and helping to inspire the next generation.
Thank you to everyone involved for making the afternoon such a valuable and inspiring experience! 🌟

A reminder that Sports Day takes place on Wednesday 15th July. We can't wait to see everyone cheering on our pupils as they take part in a variety of events! 🎉
📍 Reception⏰ 9:10am – 10:10am🏃 Back Field
📍 KS1 (years 1 and 2)⏰ 10:45am – 11:45am🏃 Back Field
📍 KS2 (years 3 - 6)⏰ 1:15pm – 3:00pm🏃 Front Field
Please ensure children come to school wearing their PE kit, suitable footwear, a hat and bring a water bottle.

🌞 Looking for summer activities? 🌞
There are lots of fantastic camps, clubs and fun days happening locally to keep children active, engaged and having fun this summer!
🎉 St Aldhelm's Family Fun Day takes place this Saturday and best of all – it's FREE! A great opportunity for families to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day in the community.
🎾 Summer Tennis Club with our coach Ryan is also running throughout the holidays. Whether your child is new to tennis or looking to improve their skills, it's a great way to stay active and make new friends.
🏀 For those who love to shoot hoops, there's also a local basketball club offering plenty of opportunities to develop skills and enjoy the game.
Get involved, try something new, and make the most of the summer! ☀️

🌟 Today we were delighted to welcome some of our new Reception starters for a special visit! They spent time exploring their new classroom, meeting their teachers and teaching assistants, and getting a taste of school life. 😊
A huge thank you to some of our very experienced current Reception pupils, who did a fantastic job helping our visitors feel welcome and settled.
We loved meeting you all and can't wait to welcome you properly in September for the start of your exciting school journey! 🎒🍎✨
