On Friday at Little Beans we had a fun filled Italian day exploring our gelato ice cream parlour, eating pizza and listened and danced to Italian music. They also practised their independence by helping themselves to refreshing lemon and lime water. πŸ‹πŸŽ΅πŸ¦πŸ•

We built the Leaning Tower of Pisa with blocks, developing their fine motor skills, problem-solving and playing alongside one another as they stacked and balanced the pieces together

πŸ‹β€πŸŸ© πŸ‹ The children made their own lemonade last week in the Toddler and Preschool rooms and then sold it to each other on the lemonade stand πŸ‹ πŸ‹β€πŸŸ©

The children confidently followed instructions to make lemonade, counted cups accurately during role play, and used descriptive language such as β€˜sour’ and β€˜sweet’ when discussing the ingredients. They worked cooperatively with peers and independently took customer orders on the lemonade stand.

This wonderful activity covers all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage πŸ’š

What a truly special day we had celebrating the graduation of our amazing preschool children! πŸ’™

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our graduates. Over their time at Little Beans, we have watched them grow in confidence, develop new skills, make friendships, and create wonderful memories. Seeing how far they have come has been a privilege, and we couldn't be prouder of all they have achieved.

As they prepare to take the next exciting step on their journey to school, we know they will continue to shine, learn, and flourish. Their smiles, laughter, and unique personalities have brought so much joy to the nursery, and they will always be a special part of the Little Beans family.

A huge thank you to our families for their continued support and to our dedicated team for helping our children grow and thrive every day.

Congratulations to our Class of 2026! πŸŽ‰πŸŒŸ We wish you all the happiness and success in the world as you begin your next adventure.

Take care and we know we will see you all again very soon 😊

Our team at Little Beans Weymouth, took part in some invaluable paediatric first aid training yesterday ⛑️

All of our staff are paediatric first aid trained. Yesterday’s training was focused on choking and a re-cap on how to deal with choking incidents and how to use the LifeVac, a device that has been used to save 300 lives in this country already. Little Beans Weymouth has a LifeVac on-site and our team of dedicated staff now have the confidence to put their training into practice if and when it may be needed β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

We would like to say a huge thank you to Dan from Whitehorse Training for taking the time to provide this training for our team πŸ™‚

Our toddlers and preschool children had so much fun yesterday learning about amazing buildings and structures from around the world β€” including the Eiffel Tower, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the Taj Mahal. Using cardboard boxes, recycled materials, and LEGO, the children created their very own imaginative structures. They explored new vocabulary such as tower, bridge, arch, height, and structure, while learning how different landmarks look and what makes each one special. It was a wonderful mix of creativity, teamwork, and hands‑on discovery.

They also enjoyed a fun maths activity, using wooden slices and natural stones to match numbers on the desks β€” helping them build counting skills, number recognition, and fine‑motor control. The children were fully engaged, proud of their creations, and excited to share what they learned. It was a fun and inspiring day of building, learning, and exploring together.

Today in babies we have been making fruity mocktails in our little tiki bar while listening to Hawaiian music.
Tiny hands, tropical tunes, and the sweetest island vibes. β˜€οΈπŸ‰πŸŒ΄

The cutest little bartenders serving up smiles all day! πŸ’›

In the evening, the babies had their tea in the Tiki bar, watching the sun make its way to set in the west.

The children were absolutely in awe today as they met Rodrick the snake. Our babies enjoyed gentle sensory exploration, using early words like soft scales and cold while watching Rodrick’s calm movements. Toddlers built on this with richer vocabulary such as slithering, reptile, and habitat, showing real fascination as they observed him up close.

Our preschool children were captivated, using more detailed language like camouflage, nocturnal, and predator to describe what they noticed. They shared thoughtful ideas about how snakes stay safe, move quietly, and adapt to their surroundings. Experiences like this spark wonder, build confidence, and deepen children’s understanding of the natural world.

What a sssssssssssmashing day 😊🐍
