After 10 years in the classroom, I’ve decided to step into a new chapter 🤍
One that lets me support children one-to-one, in a way that truly meets their individual needs.

My teaching journey began in the UAE, working in international private schools, where I gained invaluable experience supporting EAL learners 🌍
Five years ago, I returned to the UK and continued teaching across KS1 & KS2, working with children from a wide range of backgrounds and learning styles.

🎄✨ Christmas Eve stories don’t always need a book ✨🎄

On Christmas Eve night, reading can look a little different — and that’s part of the magic.

Storytelling doesn’t always have to involve books. Telling your children stories, sharing memories, or even making up a story together builds imagination, creativity, and a love of language. 💫

You could:
✨ Invent a silly story about Santa’s reindeer
✨ Take turns adding a sentence each
✨ Let your child be the storyteller (you’ll be amazed!)

These moments still build listening skills, vocabulary, and confidence — and they create memories your children will treasure forever. 💛

Say these 3 words often:

👉 “You did it!” 👈

Try saying this after every page or word your child reads — even the small ones.

That positive reinforcement builds momentum faster than correction ever could. 🌈

Does your child guess words when reading? 🤔

That’s not a bad thing — it’s a clue! They’re relying on memory and context, not decoding yet.

💡 Try this: cover the picture, point to the first sound, and read the word *together*. It helps connect letters to sounds.
