In Art our year 4 class have used charcoal drawing techniques to create pictures of Medusa, to tie-in with their topic on Ancient Greece. They read the story of Perseus and Medusa first, then practiced making different markings for the snake scales and feathered wings. We are so impressed by the children’s creativity. 🌟

We also had our new reception and nursery children join us for their first day! We feel so lucky to have you at Weston.

Our wonderful team have spent time on creating an environment for our children to love learning and we think school looks amazing!

What an incredible journey it has been! This week we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they closed one chapter and now get ready for an exciting new adventure. 💙

We are so proud of everything they have achieved, the memories they have made, and the young people they have become during their time at Weston.

The year 6 leavers attended a celebration service on their last day at Weston. They were presented with a bible, kindly gifted by the PCC from all at St Mary's. The children were able to share memories and memories from their time at primary school.

We are very lucky to have a team of reading volunteers who come into school every week and make a meaningful difference in school. They help our children build confidence, strengthen their reading skills, and discover the joy of books.
