That's it—another year done! The classroom is well on the way to being cleaned and arranged ready for September. ✨ 🧼

A huge thank you to everyone for a fantastic year, and for all of your lovely cards and gifts. We are truly grateful for your kindness, appreciation, and support.

We hope you all have a wonderful summer and can’t wait to welcome everyone back when our Little Owls doors reopen on Monday 7th September.

Little Owls Cinema! 🎬🍿

This morning, the children had lots of fun making fresh popcorn in our popcorn maker in preparation for our Little Owls Cinema. They enjoyed watching the popcorn pop and were excited to save it for our special movie afternoon. We enjoyed saying the Popcorn poem from the poetry basket

After outside play this afternoon, the children had a fantastic time at our Little Owls Cinema! They proudly collected their cinema tickets before queuing for popcorn and sweets, chatting excitedly as they found their seats in the theatre.

We all took part in a vote to choose what to watch and were thrilled to enjoy Simon followed by PAW Patrol. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with excitement, laughter, and lots of movie magic! ✨ 🐾 🐰

Little Owls Ice Pop Shop! 🍧🧊🦉

Our little ones loved exploring real-life maths by handling real money and patiently waiting their turn in the ice pop shop queue. They had so much fun taking on different roles and making their own choices. Who knew ice pops would be so popular! ❤️

Another successful session with Chris! 🦊 🚴

The children demonstrated excellent listening skills throughout the session and continued to build on their cycling confidence. Chris began by revisiting the importance of wearing helmets safely before supporting the children as they balanced on the balance stones. He encouraged them to explore moving with both fast and slow steps, helping them to develop their coordination and control.

The children then put on their helmets and accessed their balance bikes. Chris reintroduced the hoop activity, where the children matched the coloured hoops to the corresponding fish while carefully riding between the cones. This activity encouraged them to develop their balance, spatial awareness, and steering skills.

We also focused on speed, the children were encouraged to ride around the area using both fast and slow speeds. They enthusiastically practised controlling their pace and were supported to develop their gliding skills by lifting their feet off the ground as they balanced on their bikes.

What a fantastic first cycling session with Chris from Fox Cycling! 🚴‍♀️

We were delighted to welcome Chris to work with some of our Little Owls and Hutton's Reception children. This brilliant initiative provides a fun and engaging experience for children at every stage of their cycling journey. Whether they're just beginning to learn or already confident on a bike, every child has the opportunity to build skills, grow in confidence, and have lots of fun! 🤩

A huge thank you to Chris for such a wonderful session. We can't wait for next Wednesday! 😊
