We're so excited to introduce the team behind Glo & Grow for this academic year! 🥰

Between us, we're bringing years of hair & beauty industry experience, teaching experience, practical skills and a whole lot of personality 😂✨
But most importantly, we've built a team of people who genuinely care about our young people and want to see them build confidence, learn new skills and realise just how capable they are.

People think once you open a business, that's it...
But the reality is, I'm constantly learning.

Today I'm on a first aid course because I never want to stop improving—for myself, my team and, most importantly, the young people we support.

If I'm asking my students to keep learning, I should be doing the same.

Everyone thinks that when the students break up for the summer, I get six weeks off too... 👀

Behind the scenes, this is when the real work starts.
Planning lessons. Creating new opportunities. Improving our academy. Getting everything ready for September so our young people come back to the best environment possible.

Building Glo & Grow has become so much more than a business to me—it's about creating the place I wish I'd had growing up. 💛

The last day of term is always a special one ❤️
Looking back at how far some of our young people have come this year makes me incredibly proud.
For some, the biggest achievement wasn't grades...
It was confidence.
It was attendance.
It was finding a place where they felt comfortable enough to learn, grow and be themselves.
Thank you for an amazing year. We can't wait to see what next year brings ✨

Sometimes it's confidence.
Sometimes it's attendance.
Sometimes it's seeing a young person enjoy learning again.

If I could go back and speak to my 14-year-old self, this is exactly what I'd say.

Struggling in school doesn't mean you'll struggle in life.

Sometimes you just haven't found the right environment yet.

I used to think leaving school with no GCSEs meant I'd failed.
It didn't.
I just needed a different environment to learn and grow.

Nail Art Masterclass 💅

The students did really well in their nail art mastclass, and they cant wait to be learning nails next academic year with our new teacher
