Who says the end of term is just for the students?! πŸ˜„We wrapped things up with an inflatable race (just for fun as that's how we do things at Westfield!) There were plenty of laughs and a little friendly competition - the children absolutely loved it. Thankfully, no teacher injuries although a few egos may have taken a slight knock!πŸ˜†

To all of our wonderful families, we hope you have a fantastic Summer break and we look forward to welcoming you back on the 3rd September for the start of a brand new school year.

🌟🌟Well done to Reception who have completed their first full year of primary school! You have settled into school life so well and we are all incredibly proud of you. To celebrate all of their achievements this year, they had a Pirate Day with lots of fun pirate themed activities! β˜ πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸŒŸ

🌟🎭Our Year 5/6 productions of The Tempest have been absolutely fantastic! Thank you to all the parents who have attended. We are all absolutely bursting with pride, especially for our Year 6 pupils who are coming to the end of their primary school journey with us.

Some of the staff have been reflecting on how it seems like only yesterday they first walked through our school gates as Receptions, so little with their oversized bookbags. Some of them so meek and shy. Over the years we've watched them grow and the way they all commanded that stage, with such joy and confidence just melted our hearts! πŸ’š

They are more than ready to begin the next chapter of their journey, and we know they will go on to achieve wonderful things. Even so, they will be greatly missed, and our school won't quite feel the same without them. We look forward to celebrating all the memories in our Leavers' Assembly on Monday!

A massive shout out also to Miss Mitchell who has championed each and every one of them this year and put so much work into putting the production together, thank you! 🌟

✨ What a wonderful few weeks we've had at school! ✨

We've been busy learning, growing and making memories across the school.

πŸ’ͺ We enjoyed a special assembly all about resilience and never giving up, complete with some incredible yo-yo skills that left us all amazed!

🏰 Year 2 stepped back in time with their visit to Bodiam Castle, exploring its fascinating history and learning more about life in medieval England.

🎨 Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the Bright Foundation, taking part in creative activities and embracing new learning experiences.

🌟 Our annual Wellbeing Week was packed with exciting workshops, including circus skills, skipping and healthy eating, helping our children learn more about keeping both body and mind healthy.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ… And, of course, we rounded things off with a brilliant Sports Day, where determination, teamwork and sportsmanship were on full display.

A huge thank you to Mrs Chamberlain for organising such a fantastic range of workshops for our children. We are so grateful for all the opportunities that help make our school such an exciting place to learn and grow.

It has been a fantastic few terms for sport at our school, topped off by the incredible achievement of being awarded the Gold School Games Mark!

Our pupils have enjoyed taking part in a wide range of events, including:
⚽ Football tournaments
β›³ A mini golf tournament
πŸƒ Quad Athletics
🏟️ Town Sports

We’ve seen some brilliant successes along the way:
πŸ₯ˆ Several silver medals brought back from Quad Athletics
πŸ₯‰ A bronze medal win for our boys’ team in Quad Athletics
πŸ… An amazing 19 medals at Town Sports (plus records and personal bests broken!), with our Year 6 boys crowned Diamond League winners! We are especially proud of the 20 children we took to this huge town event. They showed determination, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship throughout. It was wonderful to hear that several parents commented on how positively they represented our school.

Well done to all of our pupils – you continue to shine and make us incredibly proud! πŸ‘

β˜€οΈ The heatwave didn’t stop us! β˜€οΈ
It’s been another jam-packed week of learning, creativity and fun here at school – here are just a few highlights:
🌿 Year 3 turned their PE lesson into a calm and relaxing yoga session – the perfect way to stay cool and centred.
🌳 Year 6 have loved their time at Forest School this week… especially the refreshing hose-down at the end to cool off! πŸ’¦They have also been honing their sewing skills.
πŸ₯— Year 1 enjoyed making their own healthy wraps and sandwiches – lots of delicious (and nutritious!) creations.
βš™οΈ Year 2 have been busy learning about mechanisms and proudly creating their own slider puppets.
🎨 We’ve seen some wonderful collaborative work across the school, with Reception joining Year 6, and Year 1 working with Year 5 to create beautiful artwork. It was fantastic to see our school values in action, with older pupils supporting and encouraging younger ones.
🏺 Year 4 delivered an informative and thoughtful class assembly all about Ancient Egypt. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support!
πŸ‘‹ We were also delighted to meet our new families for our 2026 cohort at our New Parents’ Evening, followed by their first Stay and Play session – a lovely way to welcome them into our school community.
What a brilliant week – sunshine, smiles and so much learning! 🌈
