It was the most beautiful day for our Reindeer Walk for St Christophers hospice. We hunted and collected reindeers on the way round, and searched for Reindeer footprints finding lots of interesting things to look at and learn about.
Many thanks for your donations, we are very grateful❤️

Caterpillars- What an exciting week we've had from exploring at Forest School leading to us using the mud for some muddy paintings to using our physical skills to do some woodwork using hammers and nails, which was really fun. Also experimenting with our Autumn collections to make potions and lotions as well as using them to make marks and print with.
We are still interested and learning our colours and now we are relating them to the colour monster story to help us understand our emotions.
Stories time is one of our favourite things and we are learning to look after our books in the outdoor library. We're also very keen on Paw patrol at present and was excited to have the figures with some Autumn bits but this lead on to a math activity of matching things up and looking for symbols.

Butterflies- What a very busy week we've had. With autumn creeping in we've been starting to look at the changes that are happening outside nursery and used some of the things we collected to create pictures and explore with, using vegetables to paint was fun.
We have started to be curious about people and the jobs they do, we've talked about their uniforms and how people help us. This has inspired us to use construction toys to be like builders and mark make some of our own uniforms.
We are also learning to use more tools ourselves when we make things, like when we prepare food for cooking, practicing using scissors to cut things out and when making changes to our playdough. We also enjoyed sieving our colourful rice.

Butterflies- Look how well we can construct models now. We made some astronauts and Planets for our display and had some fun with pasta poking it through the holes. We decided that some of our animals needed a wash today and see how well we can all choose a book and sit to look at them quietly.

The Caterpillars have experienced and explored dinosaur land, mushing up things, tipping and pouring to make potions, making gloop vehicle tracks and getting messy, painting what we can see and look how big our stick insects have got!

Caterpillars-
After yesterdays very rainy day it was good to see the sunshine and to get outside in the garden. We had noisy, bubbly fun in the messy tray with our pots and pans.
We took some of our favourite books and characters outside and made a cosy area to look at them in.
This afternoon we pretended we were bakers using our playdough and Chefs as we scooped up pasta shapes into saucepans to pretend we were cooking the tea.
