Huge congratulations to all of my GCSE students on an excellent set of
results
You are amazing 👏

To all my students getting their results tomorrow, I know you’ve worked your hardest, and I couldn’t be more proud of you.

Whatever the results say, remember you will always be more than a set of results.

Believe in yourselves, be proud of how far you’ve come, and know that this is only the beginning.

Good luck tomorrow — you’ve got this! 🤞✨

A little project I've been quietly working on has taken another step forward — and it has a new name. ✨

Some of you may remember me teasing WonderOrbit a little while ago.

At the time, WonderOrbit was the working name for an idea that was still taking shape. Since then, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I actually want this project to be — its purpose, its philosophy, the kind of learning experiences I want to create, and ultimately, the identity behind it.

And somewhere along the way, WonderOrbit became:

CupioVia.

At the heart of CupioVia are five qualities I want to nurture through the learning experiences:

Curious.
Unafraid.
Purposeful.
Independent.
Open-minded.

I've been working behind the scenes on the first resources, exploring ideas, collecting rather exciting things along the way (yes, including the Bayeux Tapestry!), and beginning conversations with the first families who will help shape the project.

I'm now working towards a September launch with our founding families.

It's still early days — but the idea finally has an identity that feels like it.

CupioVia.

And I'm rather excited to see where it goes. 🌿

How cool is that?

Where do all the questions go?

Young children are natural researchers.

They ask. They wonder. They investigate.

Research suggests preschool children can ask dozens of questions a day as they try to make sense of the world around them.

But as children grow older, many begin asking fewer questions out loud.

Not because they stop being curious.

Sometimes because they learn that questions can feel risky:
"Will I sound silly?"
"Shouldn't I already know this?"

One of the most powerful things we can do as educators is protect the message:

Your questions matter.

What is the best question your child has ever asked you?

Something exciting arrived today…

The Bayeux Tapestry has landed in the UK!

This has become the starting point for an idea I have been working on for a while - the first WonderOrbit Learning Journey.

I’ve been developing an approach built around a simple idea:

What if learning started with questions, not answers?

Instead of simply learning facts about a topic, WonderOrbit encourages children to explore:
🌱 What do I wonder?
🔎 How do I know?
💡 What could I create?
🪞 What have I learned about myself as a learner?

The Bayeux Tapestry is such a fascinating place to begin because one piece of artwork opens up so many paths:

⚔️ History
🎨 Art and design
📏 Maths and scale
🧵 Materials and craftsmanship
🗺️ Geography
💭 Evidence and interpretation

I’m currently developing the first Learning Journey and I’ll be sharing more as it grows.

I’d love to know — if your child could explore any topic deeply, what would they choose? 🌱

It's such a perfect day , I want to spend it d**g Maths 😀

28/6 is a perfect day - both 28 and 6 are perfect numbers.

A perfect number equals the sum of it's own proper divisors.

28 has divisors of : 1, 2, 4, 7 and 14 which, if you add them together equals 28

6 has divisors of : 1, 2 and 3 which sum to 6.

The sun is shining, enjoy this perfect day 😀
