☀️ And just like that, summer is over and a new academic year begins!

There’s something really special about having the whole team back together after the summer break, and today was the perfect opportunity to reconnect, welcome new faces and prepare for the year ahead.

We’ve got an exciting year in front of us at The Bridge and we’re starting exactly as we mean to go on! Investing in our people, strengthening our practice and making sure we’re giving our young people the very best support we can.

Today began with mandatory safeguarding training for EVERYBODY, because regardless of your role, safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.

There was LOTS to discuss and plenty to learn, including the latest KCSIE 2026 updates, alongside some deep-diving SWOT analysis — taking the time to really reflect on our strengths, areas for development, opportunities and what we want to achieve this year.

And of course… what’s a training day without an absolutely ridiculous icebreaker thrown in for good measure?! 😂

Tomorrow, the learning continues…

We are incredibly excited to welcome Jill from Trauma Informed Schools to deliver bespoke training to our entire team.

It is really important to us that every single member of staff, whatever their role within our organisations, understands the impact trauma can have on a learners development, behaviour, relationships and ability to learn.

Tomorrow will ensure our whole team is trained in trauma-informed practice and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity & Empathy), giving us a consistent approach through the provisions.

Two days dedicated entirely to developing our team before our learners return because investing in our staff ultimately means investing in the learners we support.

Do you support a neurodivergent young person in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2?

Our Supporting My Neurodivergent Young Person sessions offer a welcoming space for families to learn, share experiences and connect with others. The course explores topics including communication, sensory differences, attention and behaviour, with practical strategies and opportunities for discussion.

Our next Primary KS1 course starts on Wednesday 16 September in Malmesbury and will run weekly for five weeks.

☀️Activity Plus Summer Holiday Programme is Here!☀️

Looking for a fun, inclusive and supportive activity programme for your child this summer?

As part of the Inclusive Wiltshire programme, we're excited to launch our brand-new Activity Plus Summer Holiday Programme, designed specifically for children and young people with SEND aged 8–16 years.

Our sessions are tailored to meet a range of needs and offer a fantastic opportunity to be active, make friends and have fun in a supportive environment.

🎯 Activities may include:
✅ Multi-sports
✅ Boccia
✅ Dance
✅ Sensory sports
✅ Chill & Chat activities
✅ Arts & Crafts
✅ And much more!

📅 Running from 27 July – 20 August 2026

🕙 Morning Session (10:00am–12:30pm) – Lower support needs
🕐 Afternoon Session (1:00pm–3:30pm) – Higher support needs

Families can choose up to 4 sessions from the following locations:
📍 Mondays – Warminster
(AM: Pleasure Park | PM: Warminster Civic Centre)
📍 Tuesdays – Tidworth Civic Centre
(28 July & 11 August)
📍 Tuesdays – Marlborough Football Club
(4 August & 18 August)
📍 Wednesdays – Melksham Canoe Club / Adventure Centre / MUGA
📍 Thursdays – Exeter House School, Salisbury

💷 £5 per session

Once we receive your enquiry, we'll send a confirmation email, participant registration form and payment link. Please note that bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.

Reminiscing about our end-of-term celebrations! 🎉

How incredible was the balloon display by the amazing Carvers Events? It was the perfect finishing touch to such a special day.

Our staff truly gave everything to make it a celebration to remember for every learner. From the decorations and displays to the food, activities and atmosphere, every detail reflected the care and dedication they put into our provision every single day.

It was also so lovely to welcome so many parents into the provision to look at the fantastic work their children have produced throughout the year, enjoy some food, and celebrate together. Moments like these remind us just how important our school community is.

I say it all the time, but every single member of staff deserves to be celebrated. From designing a bespoke, purposeful curriculum to creating engaging outdoor spaces, building meaningful relationships and going above and beyond for our learners every day, every person plays a part in making this provision something truly special.

We’ve just got a few more days together for some essential training before we all switch off for a well-earned summer break.
