How did i learn?

On paper folks! Haha - Thats right... smart phones weren't a thing!

I built a portfolio of photos of the groom i acheived, with my own notes. I am a read/write style learner and writing out what i had done really helped me to process it and i always urge my students to do the same and discover their learning style.

These photos were some of my early scissor work on poodle coats at age 19/20 ish!

Tip - Know your learning style!

When i saw this, i was shocked, its just me!

Now it stands proudly in my hallway and I walk past this everyday in my home and it reminds me of where i started (show poodle prep) and how far i have come, and boy do i love my job! 21years down the line!

It is always a good day to make dogs pretty!!!!

One of the most common things i hear as a grooming tutor is how one groomer says 'do it this way'... the other 'i do it another way'

This isnt right or wrong ... its wonderful and, if safe, should be celebrated!
