JTM Tutoring

A lovely session before the heat hit! A look at the two times table and the 'are' sound. Then another learner explored equivalent fractions.

Today, my student looked at 3 digit numbers. It was lovely to see her confidence grow through the session.

I introduced my student to based 10 today to help her with place value. After a hesitant start she was soon confident.

My maths students all love a game so I'm excited to introduce them to Shut The Box. As well as having fun, they'll also be improving their mental arithmetic skills.

My student, not only learnt the 4 times table in our session but was also able to apply her knowledge by successfully completing a 4 times table mastery mat!

The first part of the summer holidays has flown. Many families who are too busy during term time have taken advantage of the holidays to fit some tutoring sessions in.

Double celebrations in our family this week 🎉
Congratulations to my youngest daughter on her recent graduation from the University of Leeds and good luck starting your teaching career in September.
Congratulations to my eldest daughter, who is continuing with her studies in September, as she has been offered a place on an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner course alongside her career as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.
You've both made me super proud x
