We often talk about our curriculum being built around three simple words: Curious. Creative. Confident.
But why?
Because the world our children are growing up in is changing faster than ever. With AI increasingly able to find information, generate ideas and produce answers, we believe the most valuable skills we can nurture in young children aren’t about knowing all the answers, they’re about being curious enough to ask questions, creative enough to think differently, and confident enough to have a go.
That’s why we don’t want childhood to be about getting everything “right”.
We want children to:
🔎 Be curious ~ to wonder why? what if? and I wonder what happens if I…? To investigate, explore and follow their own interests without always knowing where they will lead.
🎨 Be creative ~ to have the freedom to make, experiment and express themselves without being told what the finished product should look like. There isn’t one correct painting, one perfect model or one expected outcome.
✨ Build confidence ~ confidence doesn’t come from always succeeding. It comes from having the opportunity to try, make decisions, solve problems and discover “I can do this.”
And yes, sometimes that means making a LOT of mess! 😄
Because mess can mean exploration. Mud can become a potion. A cardboard box can become a rocket. A pile of sticks can become a den. Paint doesn’t have to become a picture. And an idea doesn’t have to have a predetermined ending.
Our role isn’t to constantly tell children what to create or how something should look.
It’s to provide the environment, time, resources and encouragement for them to wonder, experiment, discover and create their own ideas.
We want children to leave us not simply knowing how to follow instructions, but knowing how to think for themselves.
Because whatever the future looks like, we know they will need people who can ask questions, imagine possibilities, solve problems, adapt when things change, work things out and have the confidence to try something new.
That is why our curriculum is Curious, Creative, Confident.
Not just preparing children for school.
Preparing them for a world we can’t yet imagine. 💛
