We had lots of fun exploring colours and colour mixing this week!
We explored foam in our colour-changing light tub and we experimented with mixing primary colours with our hands to make secondary colours! We also discovered that if we mix all of the primary colours together, it makes brown!

It's been wonderful to see all the happy faces as we welcome the children back to Rainbow's End for the Autumn Term!
It is lovely to see our new children settling so happily!
We have also loved seeing our older children so happy and confident to return to Rainbow's End after the summer break. We are already seeing new friendships forming and it is wonderful to see our older children being kind and caring towards their new friends and helping them settle into life at Rainbow's End 💜🌈

We are looking forward to welcoming our extended year children back on Tuesday 1st September and our term time children back on Monday 7th September.

Who else went outside to experience the eclipse?

This week the children were intrigued by the dragon fruit in our new wooden fruit puzzle.
No one had ever seen or tried a dragon fruit before and they had lots of questions about it!
The children asked "is it real?" and "do dragons eat them?".
We searched online for dragon fruits and found lots of pictures and information.
We all wondered what a dragon fruit would smell like and how it would taste, so the teachers bought some dragon fruits from the shop for everyone to try.
We cut the dragon fruit open and we were all amazed by the bright pink colour inside!
We scooped out the flesh and tasted the dragon fruit.
We decided that it tasted "like raspberries" and we found it very funny that it turned our tongues pink and purple!

The World Cup came to Rainbow's End this afternoon as some of the children chose to be their favourite players or teams.

“I’m Harry Kane. He scores all the goals!”
“I’m Jude Bellingham!”
“I’m going to be Bournemouth!”
“I’m Ronaldo!”

All of them enjoyed playing a great game of football against each other. There were many goals scored, some great tackles and some even better celebrations with teammates!

🎉We can’t wait to celebrate with you at your Graduation today!

We are looking forward to seeing all our leavers and their families at St Mary’s Church this afternoon for Graduation and then back at Rainbow’s End for our Moo Music Leavers Party!

It has been so exciting to watch our caterpillars grow, form cocoons, and emerge as beautiful butterflies!
Last week we released our butterflies and watched them fly away!
