🧜‍♀️🧜‍♂️Mermaid Swimming Sessions🧜‍♂️🧜‍♀️

Has your child ever wanted to be a mermaid?

Do they enjoy swimming underwater?

Would they like to learn new swim skills whilst having a lot of fun?

Mermaid Swimming is a fun session taking place in Tiptree

The session is 60 minutes and delivered in a small group of children.

The session is suitable for swimmers age 7 years and above.

Please be aware that all participants must be able to swim at least 15m non-stop unaided to take part.

The session will focus on learning to swim "mermaid style" and this will require the participants to practice their dolphin legs whilst wearing a mermaid fin/tail (all equipment is provided)

There will also be mermaid swimming games, underwater activities and a mermaid photo shoot (you will receive photos of your own child providing photographic consent is provided)

Location: Tiptree Pool, CO5 0SD
Date: Sunday 27th September
Time: 5.30pm - 6.30pm

All spaced are allocated on a first come, first served basis so early booking is advised.

Children’s Beach Safety Sessions 🛟💦⛱️

All sessions include a 60 minute beach based classroom where children (and parents) learn how to stay safe in and around open water

All children receive a workbook to complete and topics include

Open water environments
Spotting hazards at the beach
Identifying beach flags
Understanding tides & currents
What to do in an emergency
How to help yourself & others in danger
Plus much more…

All children also then get the opportunity to practice key water safety survival skills in the sea with their parents involving Float to live, treading water and signalling for help

As thousands of families head to beaches, rivers and lakes this August, STA is helping more people access vital water safety advice by making its Water Safety Code and Float to Live resources available in multiple languages.

Through translated resources, multilingual videos and community outreach, we’re breaking down language barriers and ensuring more families across the UK can understand the simple steps that could help keep themselves and others safe in and around the water.

🛟Children’s Beach Safety Lessons🛟

Date: Friday 28th August
Time: 11.30am
Location: Sea View Beach, West Mersea

ALL OTHER DATES ARE FULLY BOOKED

⚠️Do your children know how to stay safe at the beach this summer?

⚠️Do they know how to spot a rip tide or what to do if they got caught in one?

⚠️Can they tread water?

⚠️Do they know how to FLOAT to live?

⚠️Do they know how to signal for help?

⚠️ Do they understand cold water shock?

⚠️Do they know what to do if they get stung by a jellyfish?

⚠️Do they know why they should never take an inflatable into the sea?

In these sessions you and your children will learn all of the above and much more!

These 90 minute sessions include a 60 minute beach based classroom lesson followed by a practical swimming lesson in the sea

Suitable for children ages 5years+
(All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water)

All children will receive a workbook

💦Private 121 Lessons💦
📍Location: Layer de la Haye Pool

Thursday 9am (course starts Thursday 10th September)

Lessons must be booked as a block
The autumn term is a 7 week course of weekly lessons

Spaces for adult swimming lessons are extremely limited and all sessions will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
