🦁🌿 Safari Day at Cheeky Monkeys 🌿🦒

The children have been asking for more animals, so today we decided to turn our tuff tray into a little safari! 🐘🦁🦒🐊

We explored our safari tray using sand, stones, sticks, leaves and our animal figures, creating our own little safari world. The children could move the animals around, make up stories and explore the different textures.

A lovely bit of child-led play, following their interests and letting their imaginations take over. 💛

🐘💦 Elephant Day at Cheeky Monkeys! 💦🐘

We’ve had a lovely Elephant Day today! 🐘💙 The sunshine was the perfect excuse for lots of water play, splashing, pouring and exploring with our elephant friends. ☀️💦

The children had so much fun getting hands-on, exploring the water and using their imaginations as they played with the elephants. 🐘🌿

What a lovely day of sunshine, water play and elephant adventures! 🐘☀️💙

🦉 Yesterday we celebrated Owl Day at Cheeky Monkeys! 🦉

The children had a wonderful time exploring our woodland-themed owl tuff tray, where they enjoyed discovering owls, counting, and using lots of natural resources to spark their imagination.

We also snuggled up to read the lovely story “10, 9, 8… Owl is Late!”, which encouraged lots of discussion about owls and helped develop our listening and language skills.

To finish our morning, the children got creative by making their own owls from playdough, using their imaginations while developing their fine motor skills.

A fun-filled morning of sensory play, storytelling, creativity and learning all wrapped up in one special themed day! 🦉🍃💚

🧚✨ Fairy Day at Cheeky Monkeys Childminding ✨🧚

What a magical day we’ve had! 🌸💚

Our little fairies have been busy exploring a world full of imagination and wonder. We enjoyed a day packed with fairy-themed fun, including:

🧚 Fairy hide and seek around the garden
🫧 Fairy dancing with magical bubbles
🪄 Creating our very own fairy wands
🍄 Exploring our enchanting fairy tuff tray
📖 Snuggling up together to enjoy a beautiful fairy story

Imaginative play like this helps to develop language, creativity, confidence, problem-solving and social skills, all while making wonderful childhood memories. It was so lovely to watch the children create their own fairy adventures and let their imaginations run wild! ✨

I think we may even have had a few real fairies visit our garden today… 🌿🧚💖

Today we created our very own magical fairy world! 🧚🌸 The children explored the fairy garden, discovered tiny woodland creatures, moved the fairies around their magical home and used their imaginations to create wonderful stories together. Activities like this encourage imaginative play, language development, creativity and fine motor skills while having lots of magical fun! 💚🍄🌳
