27 January marks when we remember all those murdered and affected by the Holocaust and genocide. We encourage colleagues and customers to remember and reflect on what still needs to be done to create a better future.

Each year, in the 12 days before Christmas, we ask our team to nominate a charity of their choice for us to make a donation to on their behalf. This is all part of ted Learning giving back and supporting organisations that provide amazing services to communities around the UK. Today Katherine Mount and ted Learning are giving to Pear Tree Farm Animal Sanctuary.

Pear Tree Farm Animal Sanctuary is dedicated to providing refuge for animals in need, promoting kindness and respect, and changing the way we see ‘industry’ animals. “Because every animal has the right to a peaceful, happy life”

Katherine helped to found this charity in 2018 and it does amazing work, all staffed by volunteers who put so much energy and love into caring for the residents at the sanctuary and rescuing and rehoming other animals.

This is all part of ted Learning giving back and supporting organisations that provide amazing services to communities around the UK. Today Darren Wingham and ted Learning are giving to Brain Tumour Research. Darren nominated this charity because a dear friend passed away from Brain Cancer and her husband and young child were supported by this amazing organisation.

This is all part of ted Learning giving back and supporting organisations that provide amazing services to communities around the UK. Today Louisa and ted Learning are giving to The Performing Arts Children’s Charity. This charity works with children and young people with special needs and use performing arts to promote independence and self-confidence. I just think this is a wonderful that performing arts are being used in this way. https://bit.ly/3IPHjK3

Today Roxy Hooton and ted Learning are giving to The Menopause Charity

As a mid-life woman, I'm firmly in the grip of peri-menopause, learning to navigate both it's challenges and opportunities on a daily basis! Menopause is a life-stage every woman goes through, affecting us all differently, and for some women the effects of it can be debilitating and even life-threatening, yet it's still not a subject that's widely talked about and many women find it difficult to access support. The Menopause Charity works to support women, educate healthcare professionals and businesses, and campaign for high standards of menopause care worldwide.

This is all part of ted Learning giving back and supporting organisations that provide amazing services to communities around the UK. Today is the turn of Justin Smith Essex our Group Managing Director

My charity choice is DOTS – dogs on the streets. It still shocks me that anyone has to sleep on the streets, and why I have nominated DOTS is because they support homeless people with their dogs sleeping on the streets – they ensure medical attention and support and if necessary re-house should their owner no longer be able to look after them. The pandemic has made their role even more crucial as many people were found short-term accommodation but couldn’t take their dogs. Also, the cost of supporting dogs on the street and the challenges of getting to them has grown as the pandemic continues and the cold weather arrives. I think they do an amazing job.
