After a fantastic induction day for Year 7 and 12 today, we look forward to welcoming the rest of our students back to Hilbre tomorrow. Students in Y7-11 will go straight to form rooms for 8.45am and Sixth Form for 8.55am. With lots of changes to form rooms, please check your form name & room from the list so you know where to go in the morning. There will also be posters printed to guide you, as well as a warm welcome from staff. We will see you all tomorrow morning for the first day of our new academic year! 📚📝

Tomorrow is Year 7 & Year 12 Induction Day at Hilbre. We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 cohort and Year 12 students beginning their studies at Hilbre Sixth Form. Year 7 students should arrive from 8.30am, to make their way to the main hall for 8.35am. Year 12 students should come over to Sixth Form for 9.30am to sign in. We will communicate further details for other year groups who return on Thursday 3rd September and the arrangements for these students. We hope that you’ve all enjoyed a well-deserved rest and are ready to take on a new academic year, displaying hard work, kindness and ambition. We’ll see you all soon 👏🏻

Congratulations to our fantastic Year 11 students who received their results this morning. It was great to celebrate so many brilliant results and see that the hard work and resilience over the last two years has paid off. We look forward to welcoming many of you back to Sixth Form in September and wish the best of luck to any students who are not returning to Hilbre and those who are progressing on to apprenticeships or vocational pathways. We are so proud of every Year 11 student and are excited to support you on the next step in your journey! Enjoy the last week of your summer holidays and a massive well done👏🏻

Thursday 20th August, is GCSE results day for our Year 11 students. Students are able to collect their results from 8am onwards and school will be open until 11.30am for students to collect results or enrol at Sixth Form. Students and families should enter through the main reception entrance and results will be available in G13, with Sixth Form enrolment taking place in the gym afterwards. Any external candidates who wish to enrol at Hilbre Sixth Form should collect results from their current setting and then attend Hilbre from 10.30am onwards to enrol and confirm choices. Year 12 students who are collecting resit results should collect these between 10.15–11.15am.

This morning we’ve celebrated a brilliant set of results for our Year 13 students at Hilbre Sixth Form. With 93% of students being accepted on to their university courses and many more students going on to incredible opportunities in employment and training, we are extremely proud. Students are going off to study Sociology at the University of Leeds, Journalism, Media & Culture at Newcastle University, Law at LMJU, Biomedical Sciences at Manchester Metropolitan University and we have a large number going on to the University of Liverpool to study degrees in Computer Science, Politics & International Relations, Law, Chemistry and Maths & Physics. Many of our students have accepted employment offers such as at Airbus and Engineering with WH Scott. We are so pleased that our students have been rewarded with success for all of their hard work. Well done to all of our students & staff who have made this day of celebration possible. 🥳

This Thursday, 13th August, is A Level/Level 3 Results Day for Year 13 and 14 students. Students can collect their results from the Sixth Form Centre between 8-10am. The Sixth Form team will be available to support any students who need assistance with destinations or next steps following their results. Students will have access to their UCAS track from 8am and may receive emails from universities to their personal email address at this time, so please do check for this on the day. All information regarding results was sent via EduLink by Mrs Taylor, Exams Officer, and is available on the school website for any students or parents/legal guardians who require more information. We wish the best of luck to our students receiving results this week and next, we look forward to seeing you then. 🍀

On Wednesday 15th July, staff & students completed a 10 kilometre sponsored walk in memory of Emma Harrison, who was Deputy Headteacher at Hilbre High School. We are proud to say that we managed to raise nearly £1000 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, which is a charity close to our school and many in our local community. Our students demonstrated our core values of responsibility, respect & kindness to each other and to members of the public when on the route from school all the way to Meols and back. A huge thank you to Hope Church Wirral for your support and use of the garden & facilities to give the students a well-earned rest in the warm and sunny weather! We hope that everyone is enjoying a lovely summer holiday so far ☀️

Tonight & tomorrow - the link is in our instagram bio and also will be sent out via EduLink to parents/legal guardians of Hilbre students. We have decided to allow people to pay on the door tonight & tomorrow to ensure everyone is able to attend. It’s not to be missed 🌂💼
