🐦💙 What an exciting discovery at nursery today! 💙🐦

Our children and staff were full of wonder and excitement after noticing that we have a family of blue tit birds and the eggs in our blue tit bird house have finally hatched! 🪺✨

The children and staff carefully watched as mummy and daddy blue tit flew back and forth to the nest, busy feeding their tiny chicks. It was such a magical moment to observe nature up as close as we could and sparked lots of curiosity, conversations and learning about caring for animals and wildlife. It was lovely to hear the little chicks chirping away as mummy and daddy flew inside the bird house🌿🐛🐦

Moments like these remind us how important outdoor learning and exploring the natural world can be for our little learners. 💚

🌍🦋 Today at nursery we celebrated the 100th birthday of the incredible Sir David Attenborough! 🎉💚

The children spent the day exploring the wonders of nature, learning about animals and the world around us through curiosity, discovery and hands-on experiences 🌿🐞🐘

We enjoyed nature-inspired invitations, wildlife discussions, sensory exploration and outdoor adventures as we talked about the importance of caring for our planet 🌎✨

What a lovely way to inspire our little explorers to appreciate the beauty of the natural world — just as Sir David Attenborough has done for so many generations 💚

🌿☕ Preschool also celebrated Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday today with a lovely afternoon tea party! 🎉

Although some of the children were a little disappointed that Sir David himself wasn’t attending… they then got slightly confused and thought our Dave was turning 100 today instead 🤣

Sorry Dave 😂💚

The children enjoyed lots of discussions about animals, nature and the world around us whilst celebrating such an inspiring person 🌍🦋

🌍🐾 Celebrating 100 Years of Sir David Attenborough 🐾🌍

We are excited to be celebrating the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough on Friday 8th May here at nursery! 🎉

Throughout the day, the children will be taking part in a range of nature-inspired activities to spark curiosity and a love for our world 🌿

✨ What we’ll be doing:

- 🌱 Planting seeds and learning how to care for our planet
- 🐛 Going on mini beast hunts and outdoor adventures
- 🐘 Exploring animal habitats through play
- 🎨 Creating nature-inspired artwork
- 🎥 Watching short, child-friendly wildlife clips

💚 This special celebration supports children in developing an appreciation for the natural world, just like Sir David has inspired for generations.

👕 What to bring:
Please send your child in suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as we will be spending lots of time exploring outside.

We can’t wait to celebrate, explore, and learn together! 🌎✨

☀️🌱 Sunshine, smiles & outdoor adventures 🌱☀️

What a beautiful few weeks we’ve had in the garden! The children are making the most of the warm sunshine, exploring outdoors and embracing all that nature has to offer 🌼🌿

From planting seeds and getting their hands in the soil, to exploring the water tuff tray — splashing, pouring, and discovering — there was so much curiosity and excitement in the air 💧🌱

The children also challenged themselves on the outdoor climbing apparatus, building confidence, strength, and resilience as they climbed, balanced, and explored in their own ways 🧗‍♀️✨

There’s something so special about these hands-on experiences — supporting physical development, sparking imagination, and nurturing a love for the outdoors 🌍💛

We can’t wait to watch our seeds grow over the coming weeks… just like our children 🌱✨
