Shogun Jujitsu International West Kirby and Wirral

Shogun Jujitsu International West Kirby and Wirral Shogun Jujitsu International classes are situated in West Kirby Concourse and Heswall Hall teaching adults and children (5 years and up). All welcome.

Ju-Jitsu (Jujutsu/Jujitsu), Self Defence & Martial Arts classes are available in West Kirby Concourse and Heswall Hall for adults and children. Classes teach a variety of different jujitsu and self defence techniques, including throws, grappling, combinations, sparing, pad work, holds and weapons practised in a safe and controlled environment by highly qualified instructors. Class times:
West Kirby Concourse 3:00pm - 4:00pm. Saturday afternoon. Heswall Hall 6:00pm - 7:00pm Monday evening. Beginners and advanced welcome. Hi all!

Summers coming up and classes will run throughout!!
The only time we close will be a bank holiday (Monday 31st Aug).

In addition from now till the end of August we'll be running a 'bring a buddy' summer event!
Where you and your buddy will pay half price mat fee each (for their first 3 sessions)
This applies to both juniors and seniors!

Hi all.

Just a quick announcement as some class times have changed over December only.

Saturday 13th 3-4pm JUNIORS ONLY
Saturday 13th 4-5pm SENIORS ONLY
Note, yes these are also the grading times please ensure you bring your mat fee for the day.

Saturday 20th is the last West Kirby session for both juniors and seniors.

Monday 15th is the last Heswall session for JUNIORS

Monday 22nd is the last Heswall session for SENIORS (5:30 start please enter through the fire door near the car park due to an event in the centre too)

We look to reopen the doors to training on Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th of January!

What a fantastic year 2024 has been for SJJI Wirral. Firstly, a series of successful kyu gradings, it was great to see everyone progressing together- both juniors and seniors alike. Also, a fabulous series of black belt gradings. Huge congratulations to Sarah Wright and Carl Smith promoted to Shodan 1st degree black belt, Samantha Gilbert promoted to Nidan 2nd degree black belt, and also, Charley Thompson, Samuel Charlton, and Penelope Hughes promoted to Intermediate Black belt.

Finally, a huge congratulations to our resident Wirral club coach, Sensei Peter Morton for attaining the coverted 5th Dan Master grade, after all his years hard work and dedication....well done Pete! 👏.

The club also played host to a series of kobudo seminars consisting of bokken and tonfa, and will be kicking off 2025 in style with a nunchaku seminar scheduled for February 22nd with participants working towards their Level 1 nunchaku award. Watch this space 👀 ...plenty more to come!Onwards and upwards! 🥋💪👊
