This unusual looking piano is a Giraffe Piano. No prizes for guessing how it got its name! Being upright, it is space-saving. Built in the 1800s, it is beautifully ornate, and has several pedals, which add percussion sounds. It is housed at the Victoria and Albert Storehouse in London.

Congratulations to the three pupils of mine selected to play in the prestigious EPTA Merseyside concert on Sunday. Wonderful performances from each of them. I am so proud of them for all the time and effort they put into their practice and preparation resulting in an amazing concert.
