Effingham Sixth Form is celebrating its best-ever value-added performance following this year’s A-Level results, with students achieving exceptional outcomes across a wide range of subjects and future pathways.
Our results place Effingham Sixth Form in the top 10% nationally for adding value from GCSE results to A-Level results, reflecting the commitment, determination and hard work of our students, alongside the dedication of our staff.
This year's destinations reflect the remarkable breadth of opportunities our students have embraced. Alongside a place at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, to read Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, students are progressing to the Universities of Liverpool and Buckingham to study Medicine, while others are heading to Bath and Nottingham to pursue Mechanical and Automotive Engineering and Kings and UCL to study Politics and International Affairs as well as Business.
Criminology, Sociology, Psychology and Biomedical Sciences continue to be popular choices, with students progressing to a wide range of universities, including Exeter, Southampton and Surrey.
Our creative and performing arts students have also enjoyed outstanding success, with students securing places at the Universities of Leeds and Leicester to study Theatre and Dance, alongside exceptional achievements in Art, Photography and Textiles, with a place secured at the prestigious Central St Martin's, showcasing the strength and diversity of our creative disciplines.
Our students' ambitions extend well beyond the UK, with places secured at McGill University, Canada, to study Computer Science and at the University of Sydney to study Humanities, reflecting the global outlook and aspirations of our Sixth Form community.
