We know full well the summer holidays can get expensive ! West End Parish Council have kindly put together a list of activities they have found for children in the area that are free or low cost 😀 if you have found an activity that isn’t on the list please feel free to share in the comments so other families can take advantage…. 😀 🍦

As the summer holidays start, we understand that many parents and caregivers will be searching for free and low-cost activities for their children. To help, we’ve compiled a list of things you can do in or near West End.

As another wonderful preschool year comes to an end, we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. 🥹

To our incredible children—thank you for filling our days with laughter, curiosity, creativity, and endless smiles. Watching you learn, grow, and flourish has been an absolute privilege.

To our amazing parents and families—thank you for your continued support, encouragement, and trust. Whether you volunteered your time, attended events, helped with fundraising, or simply supported your child’s learning at home, you have played an invaluable role in making our preschool such a special place.

A special thank you goes to our dedicated Preschool Committee. Your hard work behind the scenes, commitment, and countless volunteer hours help keep our preschool thriving. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

Finally, thank you to our wonderful staff for their passion, care, and dedication to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and inspired to learn. 🪴

🐾🚌 Pet Week Adventure! 🚌🐾

The children all very much enjoyed our pet week so we extended our learning by adding vet/grooming stations to our roleplay area.

Our preschool children had a wonderful time last week as they travelled by bus to visit pets at home 🐶🐱🐰🐠

Our aim was to enhance the children’s interests with real life experiences. Getting to witness the grooming room allows them a deeper understanding and strengthens their role play and language. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to observe a variety of animals, learn about their needs and how to care for them, and develop their understanding of the world around them. Travelling by bus also supported the children’s confidence and independence while giving them valuable experience within the local community.

What a fun-filled day of learning, discovery, and unforgettable memories! 🌟
