Rosebery Centre for Dementia Care Rosebery Centre for Dementia Care provides day care and support for people with dementia and their families. The Centre is based in Polbeth West Calder.

Provide befriending at https://www.facebook.com/roseberybefriendingservice/ The Rosebery Centre was established in 1986. The main objective is to facilitate social interaction and stimulation for the person with dementia in a homely, domestic environment whilst also providing carer respite.The Centre meets the Care Inspectorate's Standards of Care and is subject to inspection of its service by the

Inspectorate. The Centre has been designated West Lothian Organisation of the year five times and was runner up twice.

Thursday 3rd ๐Ÿ a lovely day to round up as a busy week, we kicked off the morning with a quiz then it was French toast for breakfast ๐Ÿฅš then onto Music bingo ๐Ÿ”ข listening out for the songs and marking them down if we had them, by the looks of all of that chocolate we seem to have had a lot of winners - well saying I (Megan) was in the office today!! ๐Ÿคฃ lunch today was lasagne with garlic bread ๐Ÿฅ– then cake and custard ๐Ÿฎ in the afternoon we played lucky dice ๐ŸŽฒ with Helen winning ๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ‘

And as you may have also seen, we had a visitor this week - Dorris was with us completing her work experience so thank you for all of your help this this week you are a star โญ

Wednesday 2nd ๐Ÿคฉ another busy day at the centre - we kicked off with a morning maths quiz which went down like a lead balloon to start with. Just the mention of maths had the groans going off around the room however everyone done really well, better than they thought they would and there wasnโ€™t one we got wrong ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿงฎ breakfast was a fruit granola bowl ๐Ÿฅฃ for morning exercise we use the parachute aiming to get the ball through the middle working together however you may see Calumโ€™s hands poking through ๐Ÿคฃ as it was taking a while lol!!! we then had basketball ๐Ÿ€ again everyone performing well but Billy and Lisa getting the high scores ๐Ÿ† lunch was fish cakes ๐ŸŸ followed up with cake and custard ๐Ÿฐ in the afternoon we split into teams for co****le, we had Margaretโ€™s magic moments and the winners by one point Billyโ€™s Bravehearts ๐Ÿ‘

Tuesday 1st of September ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿƒ well September has rolled around and the weather is definitely getting colder โ˜”๏ธ to kick off our Tuesday we had one of our lovely volunteer Isobelโ€˜s big crosswords, for breakfast it was cheese scones ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿณ after our seated exercise we had a game of golf โ›ณ๏ธ with Elizabeth getting the high score ๐Ÿฅ‡ lunch was leak & potato soup ๐Ÿฅฃ then chicken and chips ๐Ÿ” in the afternoon we played curling ๐ŸฅŒ with Pat and Elizabeth sharing the trophy ๐Ÿ†

Monday 31st! Our last day of August โ€“ where has this year gone! We kicked off our Monday with a morning quiz for breakfast we had treacle scone ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿณ it was then onto bowls with the final between the not so happy couple Margaret and George especially after George beat Margaret ๐Ÿฅ‡ lunch was sweet potato and coconut soup ๐Ÿฅฃ then cheeseburger with chips ๐Ÿ” in the afternoon we played tabletop curling ๐ŸฅŒ and just like that August was over ๐Ÿฅถ
