What a fabulous leavers’ celebration!

The children sang, danced, laughed and even did a conga line!

A special thank you to our fabulous PTA for making this such a special event for our wonderful Year 6 children.

They perform their leavers’ assembly to their adults tomorrow before their final day at Harvills on Friday.

Year 6 have taken part in the SHINE study to help
a team of researchers at University College London (UCL) and the Universities of Durham and Newcastle.

The researchers wanted to know how the children in Year 6 were feeling and how these feelings changed over time. With this information, they hope to be able to advance research that aims to improve children’s mental health and wellbeing.

Our Year 6 children had an amazing time at Symphony Hall in Birmingham this morning for Music for Youth’s National Festival.

The talent was excellent and our children were left inspired.

Year 6 had a brilliant session learning CPR and how to use a defib with Steve from Heart Start Mossley. The children were fully engaged and picked up a life‑skill that’s genuinely worth having.

Fantastic learning with real impact.

All parents are invited. Children in Years 5 and 6 are also welcome. However, the presentation is not suitable for children younger than this. If you have older children who do not attend Harvills Hawthorn, they are more than welcome to attend.

Year 6 have done us proud today!

Our brilliant team came second place in the Wednesbury Schools Annual Book Quiz, showing incredible commitment and determination throughout the competition.

They read two whole texts in a short amount of time and approached every round with focus, teamwork and real enthusiasm. Their achievement is a fantastic demonstration of our school vision: to be the very best that you can be.

Well done, Year 6 — your effort, resilience and love of reading shine brightly. 📚✨

Year 3 have been busy making a difference in our local community today!

As part of Safer 6 — a Sandwell‑wide initiative that brings partners together to focus on key priorities like environmental safety and improving the local area for residents — our children took part in a litter pick.

They worked brilliantly as a team, showing pride in their community and a real commitment to keeping our shared spaces clean and welcoming. It was fantastic to see their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility.

We’re proud to support Safer 6 in Wednesbury through positive projects like this.
