A number of students linked with music centre have been involved with the Sandwell Cultural Education Partnership, SHAPE Summer Festival, to create a multimedia performance mixing music and art.

Year 6 to 7 Changeover event

Rockin’ time at Splinter Studios
Last week John’s C or E primary and Holyhead primary schools had a great time at Splinter Studios. Both have had whole class rock band sessions in school this year and this experience allowed pupils to explore more about what it’s like to be in a band.

Our Summer Festival is almost here🎵☔️🎶🎉🎵
It looks like there could be a little rain tomorrow, but the gazebo’s are up and we are keen to make this a festival of memories and wonderful music making.
Performers will be under canvas, there will also be other shelters for our festival audience, but we recommend you bring your brolly ☂️
No festival in this country would be complete without embracing our wonderful and unpredictable weather ☂️☀️🎶🎵🤞it’s all part of the fun 🤩

Two new opportunities for SIPS Music Centre members
SIPS Singers bringing young voices together to sing Pop, Rock, Musical Théâtre and Disney Hits in an exciting educational way, providing performance opportunities and building confidence.
Music theory is an important part of any musicians development and we are pleased to now offer music theory classes. Classes are available to all members of music centre focusing on material from grades 1-5.

SIPS - Music & Arts Service provides high-quality instrumental, whole class and curriculum-based lessons to schools across the Sandwell borough. We are also able to assist with music CPD and workshops, which are tailored to your school’s needs.
Pupils who reach the required standard are invited to join our variety of ensembles, which perform at concerts and events throughout each academic term.
