Welcome to the Sandwell Sensory Support team's page! We support children and young people with a diagnosed vision or hearing loss.

We support children and young people with hearing loss and/or vision impairments across the borough in various educational settings. We also offer support to their families too.

We’re pleased to share that SDCA – Sandwell Deaf Community Association is working with the Children & Young People Team at SignHealth to deliver upcoming free workshops.

πŸ‘₯ For children and young people aged 8–17 who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind, hearing aid users, cochlear implant users, or users of other hearing devices.

Our Elevate programme provides flexible pathways for young people aged 16–19 who may have had disrupted or limited prior education, or who have not met the entry requirements for their preferred study route and need additional support to transition into further education.

We’re hosting a parents information evening on Tuesday 14th July, giving you the opportunity to meet the team, learn more about the programme, ask questions and explore the support available.
