SCHOOL CLOSED - Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June ‼️
Due to the Red Alert weather warning and following careful consideration of the risks posed by the extreme temperatures; and the growing number of local schools closing, which impacts our ability to safely staff the site and maintain our safeguarding responsibilities, the school will be closed to pupils on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June.
This decision has not been taken lightly. However, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff must remain our priority.
During the closure, children will have access to a range of learning activities to complete at home. These include:
Times Table Rock Stars
Numbots
Lexia
Mathletics
We would also encourage all children to continue reading regularly using their school reading book.
For children in Reception to Year 2, we recommend practising Little Wandle phonemes using the parent resources available here:

As temperatures remain exceptionally high, we encourage families to:
💧 Keep children well hydrated throughout the day.
☀️ Apply sunscreen regularly and encourage children to stay in shaded areas where possible.
🏃♀️ ❌ Avoid strenuous physical activity during the hottest parts of the day.
🏊♀️ Follow water safety advice and ensure children are supervised at all times when near water, including paddling pools, swimming pools, rivers, lakes and beaches.
